I was inspired by a card that Michelle Zindorf made and knew that it was perfect for my dad's birthday.

Sweet 16 Birthday Box

So, my oldest daughter turned 16 a couple of weeks ago.  We wanted to give her money to start her car fund, but wanted a cute and clever way to package it.  Here's what I did:

 

 

This was totally inspired by a fellow consultant who came up with this great idea!

 

I changed it up a bit by adding tags to each side, creating a pocket to slip money into.

 

Colors: Watermelon, Black, Baby Pink

February Stamp Camp Projects

Hello Everyone!

 

I know I've been MIA for quite a while.  Sorry for that.  Now that my children are getting older they have more activities than ever and I hate to miss them so creativity has taken a back burner for a bit.  My goal this year is to make more time for me and what I love to do, so hopefully there won't be any long absences in the future.

 

Now that I've rambled on a bit, let's get to the projects!  The first one is a fancy fold technique:

I decided to try something new this year.  I usually do a technique tag class every summer, but the preparation time for the class and time it takes for everyone to make all 10 tags is overwhelming.  This year, we will make one technique tag each month at stamp camp!  Here is the first one - Block Fill Technique:

 

Each tag comes with complete directions to attach to the back for future reference.

August Stamp Camp

I'm so excited!  The new fall/winter catalog went live on August 1st and it has so many great items, I dont' know where to start!  There is a new Cricut cartridge call Artiste.  It contains 700 images (3-D projects, an alphabet, shapes, cards) - what a great cutting tool!  Close To My Heart has bundled the cartridge with 3 D-size stamp sets and 3 9x12 dimensional elements chipboard shapes.  All yours for just $99 or host a $350 gathering and get it as a half-off item!

Zipper Die card

I found a new die that allows the card recipient to pull a strip on the card to reveal a hidden gift (cash, giftcard).  It's called Movers & Shakers Zipper Die from Papertrey Ink.  You can find it here.

June Stamp Camp Projects

This month we will make a fun card using the June Stamp of the Month, Life Is Tweet.

May Stamp Camp Projects

Stamp Camp is Friday, May 11th at 7 pm.  We will create two fun cards, using a tried and true technique, Chalk Marbling and a new technique, Popped Embossing.
