Do Nothing

I just love this stamp set! The girl is actually sitting on the towel, so I stamped it on the patterned paper and then on plain white paper. I colored the girl on the plain white paper and cut her out and then layered it over the patterned image.

Stamps: Do Nothing, Paradise
Colors: Dutch Blue, Goldrush, Vineyard Berry
Accessories: Cuttlebug with dot embossing folder

Apron Recipe Holder

My daughter, Rebecca, is turning 11 tomorrow! We're having a cooking party, so I made these aprons to hold the recipes the girls will be making. We also made CD's (complete with stamped folder) of Rebecca's favorite songs that will also fit in the pocket. You can get the template for the apron here.
Colors: Bubblegum, Citrus Leaf, Watermelon and Star Spangled Blue
Stamps: Groovy and Delightful Alphabet

Hooray! It's working again!

My niece turned 16 yesterday. Here's the card I made for her. I used stamp sets that have been retired, but I just love them for teenage girls!

Colors: White Daisy, Bubblegum and Citrus Leaf
Stamps: Best Friends, Sleepover (background stamp), Precious Alphabet (16).

Computer problems

We are having computer problems at the moment, so I will not be posting anything until the problem is resolved. I apolozige for the inconvenience.

Birthday Cards Anyone?

For this card, I decided to make a pop-up. Isn't the sheep adorable! I used Liquid Applique on his body to make it look like wool.

I also used the Liquid Applique on the pom pom for the party hat.

Paper: Patterned paper -Serendipity collection, cardstock, Dutch Blue, White Daisy
Stamps: Happy Birthday, A Birthday Wish, Birthday Bash
Colors: Dutch Blue, Outdoor Denim, Blush, Buttercup

This is the pop-up portion of the card.

The sentiment reads "A birthday wish for ewe".

I made this card for my husband, Ron, who will turn 40 this year. I was inspired by a similar card that I found in a back issue of Paper Crafts magazine.

Paper: Outdoor Denim, Cranberry cardstock; Rough & Tumble paper pack
Stamps: Library Cards, Friendship Word Puzzle, Air Mail, Sans Upper and Lower Case Alphabet, Playful Numbers.
Accessories: Photo Hangers, Pewter Brads and contraband ribbon.

Coluzzle Crazy!

I decided to post artwork made using a few Coluzzle templates. The first card is a Valentine card made with the tag template. Just cut two tags and overlap them to create a heart!

Colors: Black and Holiday Red
Stamps: Sensational Seals, Adorable Backgrounds

This card was made using the Coluzzle Oval template.
I cut several ovals the same size and then layered them and cut them for the inside right edge of the card.

Paper is from the Best Friends Forever Paper Pack.
Stamps: Friendship Flowers

I used the Coluzzle Circle for this card. Cut a slit through one circle to insert the other circle and create a link.

Colors: Breeze, Ocean, Hydrangea and Amethyst
Stamps: Delight In Everything, Free Spirit

Flower Children

I just got this set yesterday and had to play with it! Aren't the flowers adorable? This is called a Criss Cross box. If you click on the word criss cross above, it will lead you to the directions for this box.

The glitter piece you see on this card is made to look like a pacifer. It's hard to see with the glitter over it, but there is another Flower Child stamp on the pacifer.

Colors are Lilac Mist, Spring Iris and Sweet Leaf.
Stamps sets: Flower Child, Miracle, Simple Beauty, and Frienship Word Puzzle.

Here's a fun card!

Isn't this a cute card? I just love it!

I'm calling it an Envelope Slider card.

Colors are Breeze, Kiwi and Orchid Bouquet. Stamp set is Nursery Bash.

Good morning!

Today I thought I would give you a preview of the technique I will be teaching at Stamp Camp on Friday, February 8th (mark your calendars!).

This is called Faux Silk (the crinkled piece on the Bubblegum cardstock). I used the February Stamp of the Month, Endless Love, along with Sensational Seals. I love how the seals fit right in the middle of the Endless Love stamp!

Valentine Cards

Just a couple of Valentine cards using All My Love stamp set.

Colors are Hollyhock, Lilac Mist and Chocolate. Paper is from the Sonata My Reflections Paper Pack.

Brrrr! It's very cold outside!

I think we need to think spring!

Here is a Mother's Day Card. I used the March stamp of the month, Simple Beauty for this card.
Colors are Sweet Leaf, Bubblegum, Heavenly Blue and Baby Pink.
I absolutely love making embossed backgrounds with my Cuttlebug! It's so quick and easy and adds a lot of punch!

More Endless Love Artwork

Here is what the stamp set looks like.

The biggest flower with the swirls around it is approximately 4" round!

Here are some more cards made with this set:

I used Baby Pink, White Daisy and Black for these two cards.

The large pink flower is from CTMH's Just Blooms™ Big Pinks Paper Flowers.

This next card is the same stamp set, but I used Chocolate and Cranberry and created a file folder card.

1/19/08 February Stamp of the Month

It's so cold here! My poor dog could barely stay outside long enough to do her business! I even put a coat on her, but her paws were freezing to the ground.

Anyway, today's card features the February Stamp of the Month, Endless Love. The background was done using foil sheets (not aluminum foil) and my Cuttlebug. Colors are Orchid Bouquet and Lilac Mist.
Sorry the image isn't the clearest - it's hard to photograph the foil because of the glare.

Here are more card creations for your enjoyment.

Sets used on this card are Rustic Alphabet, Sans Alphabet and A Friend Is.

In case you haven't noticed, I will be showcasing only Close To My Heart products on this site.

This is a criss cross card. See directions for this card here.

I used the Lovely Buckles set for this card.

I was experimenting with my Cuttlebug embossing folders and Fun Flock when I made this card.

Black and white make such a simple and elegant card!

Here is a close up of the Fun Flocked flower.

Stamp sets used are Blooming Flourishes and Floral Delights.
Wow! I was going through some cards that I made previously and decided to post a plethora of projects for your perusal (that's a lot of p's)!

This first set of cards showcases the January Stamp of the Month, Eastertime.

The background on this card was created with a rubber brayer, some rubber bands and ink. Just remove the roller part of the brayer and wrap rubber bands of varying thicknesses around the roller. I kept my rubber bands in somewhat straight lines for this background. Re-attach the roller to the handle and roll the brayer over the lightest color ink first and across your card base. You will need roll the color on vertically and horizontally to create the plaid effect. Clean brayer on scratch paper and then repeat with your second color.

Very easy to do and it adds so much to your artwork!

The cards you see here show the versatility of the Eastertime set.

When using a seasonal stamp set, think outside the box. That way you can use the set year round!

This is a Trufit Folio Accordian Album.

I will be teaching a class on this on Tuesday, January 29th.

The image at left shows the album closed and belted.

The image below is the inside of the album.

This image shows the tags that are inserted
in the album.

I used all Close To My Heart products for this project: Enchanted Paper Pack, Lovely Buckles, Playful Flourishes, Sensatioal Seals, Weathered Backgrounds, Memory Labels, Legendary Moments and Delightful Alphabet stamp sets. Ink colors are Garden Green, Sunflower Yellow, Pansy Purple and Barn Red.
