This is a project, inspired by Pinterest, that I made for my mother-in-law's birthday.
Every year she transfers birthdays from one calendar to another, so I thought this would be a great way for her keep track of them without all the extra work.
The word family came from Hobby Lobby (scrapbooking section). It is layered chipboard and has two hangers on the back. I painted it teal and then attached the flowers and gems with glue dots.
My husband drilled 11 holes across the bottom to tie the months of the year to. I cut 12 rectangles from chipboard and colored cardstock to cover them. Stamped each month and then punched holes with my cropadile punch. I then cut circles from chipboard and colored cardstock (42 and that's just immediate family!), punched holes top and bottom and wrote each family member's name and day of birth. Then everything was tied together with twine.
Here are close-ups of two of the tags. I stamped my mother-in-law and father-in-law's tags with a heart to make them stand out and show the head of the family. I stamped my nephew's tag with a heart with wings to signify that he is no longer with us, but still holds a place in our hearts.
This project was time consuming, but I love how it turned out!
