Dream a little....

I don't why, but I just love the look of this bird in the sunset! Maybe it's the dark shadow in the vibrant background....
Colors: Barn Red, Sunflower, Goldrush, Autumn Terracotta, Desert Sand
Stamps: April Word Puzzle (bird), With Love (branches), Card Commentary (dream), Simple Stitches

A Few Cards to Tide You Over...

I thought I would post a variety of older cards (haven't had time to create lately!) so that you had something new to look at!
The first card was made using the retired Cocoa Cafe papers, Solo "T" and Precious Alphabet stamps sets.
The second card was made using the Faux Linen technique. Colors are Smokey Plum, Chocolate, Bamboo and Black. Stamps sets are Butterflies (retired), Airmail.
The third card was made using the Summertime stamp set. Colors are Ocean, White Daisy and Bubblegum.
The fourth card shows the Outdoor Thoughts stamp set in a whole new light. The vase is actually a fish, the flowers are hearts. I also used the Ritzy Ribbon set on this card. Colors are New England Ivy, Smoke Plum and White Daisy.

4-Wheelin!

Thought I would post a very masculine card today.

Cupcake Birthday Card

Here's another card using the June Stamp of the Month, With Love. The stamp set itself is flowers, vases, stems and leaves, so you have to think outside of the box for this one!

The cupcake wrapper was created by stamping the short vase from the set on striped paper. The cupcake top is the ice cream from the I Scream stamp set. Candles are stems and the flames are leaves.

Once again, I inked up the embossing folder before running my cardstock through. I would not recommend using Close To My Heart or Stampin' Up's black inks on your folders. They both stain right away. I used a Marvy Uchida black ink pad for this project. Close To My Heart used to carry them, but unfortunately they no longer do.

Colors: Ocean, Black, Vineyard Berry, Buttercup
Stamps: With Love (June Stamp of the Month), I Scream and Today's Date (August Stamp of the Month)
Accessories: Black Organdy Ribbon, pop dots

Spirograph Card - June Stamp of the Month

Aren't the colors in this card happy?
I used a scallop punch for the spirograph piece. Just punch a scallop and use embroidery floss or other fibers to wrap two layers and create the classic spirograph look. Layer with punched flowers and a sparkle for a great embellishment!
I don't know if you can tell from the photo, but I inked up the embossing folder before placing my cardstock in it and running it through the Cuttlebug. Just be sure to wash your embossing folders right away to avoid staining!
Colors: Crystal Blue, Autumn Terracotta
Accessories: ribbon (Michael's), clear sparkle
Tools: Floral Fantasy Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug), Floral and scallop punches.

One Year Old Layout

I saw this layout in the new Summer Idea Book and just had to scraplift it! I used different papers and embellishments than the original layout. It will be perfect for Renae's 1st birthday layout!
Colors: Twilight, Garden Green, Goldrush and Hollyhock
Papers: Best Friends paper pack
Stamps: Today's Date (August Stamp of the Month), Rustic Alphabet, The Works Alphabet
Embellishments: Flowers and Tag from the Stamped Cricut cartridge

Lots of Luck!

This is a nice 3-D shamrock made from four hearts that are scored down the middle and folded, but only one half gets adhered to the card base.
I hand cut the stem.
