My new nephew Nolan's scrapbook

My sister-in-law just had her third baby yesterday. She told me she just wanted scrapbook pages from me.

That's right up my alley!

I started the pages for this album on Saturday and made 20 in all! What a marathon!

All Buttoned Up

I stamped a bunch of butttons a while back to use on a project and then never did anything with them. When I found them the other night, I decided I'd better use them on them.

Colors: Blush, Hollyhock, Cocoa, Desert Sand
Papers: Notebook paper pack
Stamps: All Buttoned Up, Connections

Hinge Card

This is a hinge card. Very simple to make.
Start with a 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" base. Then cut two pieces of coordinating cardstock 3" x 4 1/4". Scallop the edge of the bottom cardstock piece, decorate as desired and then adhere this piece to the base. Be sure to leave at least 1/2" from the scalloped side down unadhered (is that a word?) so that the top hinged piece can slip inside it.

Lay the top piece of cardstock in place and then punch a 1/16" hole through all layers and attach with a brad.

Wrap a piece of ribbon around the bottom piece (under the scalloped edge) and tie a bow - keeping it to the far left side.

Now cut a piece of cardstock 2" x 2 3/8" for the focal image and layer this piece on two pieces of cardstock 2 1/4" x 2 5/8" and 2 1/2" x 2 7/8". Adhere the focal image to the card by placing pop dots above and below the ribbon. Be sure not to adhere it to the top hinged piece.

Colors: Petal, Pansy Purple, Colonial White and New England Ivy
Stamps: Boutique Borders, Botanical Borders, Butterfly Kisses, Picture Perfect (Corner Tab), Tender Tags (flourish) and Thank You
Accessories: Colonial White Organdy Ribbon, Garden Green Brad, Colonial White Safety Pin, Paper flowers and a rhinestone.

Tri-Shutter Card

This is called a Tri-Shutter Card. You can find the directions for this card here. Thank you Craftiblog for posting great directions.

My friend, Marla, made a tri-shutter card for me for my birthday recently. It was beautiful! Thanks Marla!

Anyway, I had the directions for this card on my desk for a few months and Marla's card inspired me to try one of my own.

Colors: Juniper, Sorbet, Creme Brulee, Tulip
Papers: Key To My Heart Paper Pack
Stamps: Butterfly Wings, Happy Birthday
Accessories: Paper Flowers and lots of bling!

When I stamped the butterflies, I inked the stamp in Creme Brulee and then used a wadded up paper towel to apply the Tulip Ink on top. It gives the butterfly a nice mottled look.

My 7 year-old, Renae, made this card for her dad for Father's Day. She saw this card in the Wishes book and knew that it was the one she wanted to make. I cut the pieces and she did the stamping and glueing.

Colors: Bamboo, Desert Sand, Black, Cocoa
Stamps: Rustic Alphabet, Coffee Stain, Argyle Backgrounds
